The Visitor

The river's edge is a favorite place for egrets to rest, hunt for food and perhaps just  have a look around. I usually see them alone and think of them as solitary and preferring a quiet place to explore. It is always a wonderful surprise to spot a stately white  silhouette amongst the tangle of the green and brown shoreline. This was painted from memory. It is done in a loose realistic style in an effort to keep the painting soft. This is an original acrylic on stretched canvas with painted sides making it suitable for display unframed or framed. This painting comes unframed.
